Who is this course for?

Ideal for those who need to:

  • Attend an annual CPR refresher course

  • Learn to use a defibrillator (AED)

  • Update or learn Basic Life Support BLS skills

Duration

This is a half day (3 hours) course.

  • Responsibilities and reporting

  • Assessment of the situation

  • Dealing with an unresponsive casualty

  • Infection control

  • Resuscitation

  • AED functions

  • Defibrillation procedures

Certification

Level 2 Award from ‘First Aid Awards UK’ in Basic Life Support & Safe Use of an Automated External Defibrillator. This qualification is valid for 3 years from the date of achievement. The learner will need to complete the full course again to requalify for a further 3 years.

It is recommended that the learner attends annual refresher training.
