This is a 1-day course for those working in day nurseries, pre-schools, as childminders and nannies or anyone with young children who want the skills to deal with an emergency. You'll gain a nationally recognised certificate (OfQual, First Aid Awards UK) that lasts three years.

2 day in-person course that covers first aid in the workplace. A third day of the course is to be completed on-line. You'll gain a nationally recognised certificate that lasts 3 years.

• Assess an emergency situation

• Be able to provide first aid for an infant and a child who are unresponsive - CPR and use of a Defibrillator

• Be able to provide first aid for an infant and a child who are choking

• Be able to provide first aid to an infant and a child with external bleeding

• Be able to provide first aid to an infant or a child with suspected injuries to bones, muscles, and joints

• Know how to provide first aid to an infant or a child with an acute medical condition or sudden illness

• Know how to provide first aid to an infant or a child with burns and scalds

• Know how to provide first aid to an infant or a child with suspected poisoning

• Be able to provide first aid to an infant or a child with anaphylaxis
